Do you need spare parts that are no longer manufactured or take too long to get hold of? With 3D printing, we can produce customised spare parts in plastic and metal - quickly, cost-effectively and with the same (or better) quality as the originals. At AM Printservice, we help companies around Sweden keep their production running by delivering spare parts on demand.

Waiting for spare parts from abroad or looking for expired components can cost time and money. With additive manufacturing, we eliminate these bottlenecks. You get your parts when you need them, customised to your exact specification.

Spare parts

Why choose 3D printed spare parts?

Traditional spare parts management often involves large inventories, long lead times and uncertainty about availability. When a critical component breaks down, production stops - and every hour costs money. 3D printing changes the rules of the game.

Instead of relying on suppliers who may no longer make the part you need, we can create a new one directly from a CAD file. It doesn't matter if the original manufacturer has stopped production or if the part is customised for your particular machine. With the right drawing, we produce a functional replacement part within days, sometimes hours.

In addition, 3D printing allows us to improve the original design. We can optimise the geometry for better performance, use materials that can withstand harder stresses, or make the part lighter without compromising on strength.

Materials for all needs

We offer spare parts in a wide range of materials, customised to your requirements for strength, heat resistance and chemical resistance.

Plastic and nylon

For most spare parts, the PA12 (nylon) an excellent choice. It combines durability with flexibility and can withstand temperatures up to 80°C. It is ideal for gears, holders, brackets and other functional components that are subject to mechanical stress.

As demands increase, we also have PA12 GB with glass beads for higher rigidity, and ABS for details that require good impact resistance and easy finishing.

metal

For spare parts that have to withstand extreme stress, high temperatures or corrosive environments, we offer 3D printing in metal. We work with stainless steel, aluminium and titan - materials that meet the toughest industrial requirements.

How to produce spare parts with us

Ordering spare parts via 3D printing with us is simple and easy. You need a CAD file in a common format such as STEP or STL. If you don't have a digital file, we can often help you measure and design the part based on an existing component or drawing.

Once we have the file, upload it to our order page and select the material. You will immediately receive a quote and can then authorise the order. Production starts right away, and depending on the complexity and material, you'll have your spare parts within a few working days.
For larger volumes or recurring needs, we can set up a digital warehouse where your parts are ready to be produced when needed. This means you don't have to tie up capital in physical stocks and still have access to spare parts when needed.

Industries we help

3D printed spare parts are suitable for virtually all industries that use mechanical components. We regularly supply companies in the manufacturing, automotive, marine and machine building sectors.

Manufacturing industry

Manufacturing companies often have machines with components that are no longer produced. Instead of replacing an entire machine for a small broken part, 3D printing can extend the life of the machine by several years. We have helped companies print everything from valve brackets and gears to customised grippers and sensor mounts.

Vehicles and automotive

Within automotive industry access to spare parts is critical. Especially for older or specialised vehicles where original parts are no longer available. Among other things, we have helped to produce spare parts for classic cars like Maserati, where the original manufacturer no longer supplies components.

Machine builders

Machine builders often need unique components that are not available in standard ranges. With 3D printing, customised spare parts can be produced without minimum quotas and without expensive tools.

Our technology

We use HP Multi Jet Fusion for plastic printing, an industrial technology that delivers parts with excellent surface finish, high detail accuracy and mechanical properties that match injection moulded components. For metal parts we use DMLS technology which melts metal powder layer by layer with a laser.

These technologies allow us to produce spare parts that not only perform as well as the originals - but often better.

Sustainability and the circular economy

3D printing spare parts is not only practical, it is also a more sustainable option. Instead of throwing away working machines and appliances because a small part broke, we extend the life of existing equipment.

Moreover, with additive manufacturing, we only produce the material that is needed. There is minimal waste compared to traditional manufacturing methods such as milling or turning. And because we produce locally in Sweden, transport costs are reduced compared to importing spare parts from the other side of the world.
